Travel Note
Our destination wedding was inspired by a trip to Spain that we took in the Summer of 2023 before a beautiful wedding in Scotland. (Thank you, Katlyn & Camden!) We flew into Madrid and from there took trains to Toledo, then Zaragoza, then Tarragona, Sitges and ended our journey in Barcelona. We had an amazing time and recommend seeing Spain by train. We are so excited to hear about the travel that our guests have crafted for before or after the celebration!
Flight
Fly into Barcelona and take a train or bus to Tarragona. You can book a taxi or shuttle. There is a 1 hour train that costs about $10 (bit.ly/4lqhi6S) -instructions below You can also book a bus directly from the airport to Tarragona.

Take the R2 Nord train from the Airport Station (located outside Terminal 2) to Barcelona Sants. If you arrive at Terminal 1, take the free shuttle bus to T2. Sants to Tarragona: At Barcelona Sants, switch to a regional train (Line R15, R16, or RT2) to Tarragona. Trains from Sants to Tarragona run roughly four times per hour.

This 4 star hotel offers a more elegant stay while being near the venue. There are two pools, one being on the rooftop with a beautiful view of the city. Breakfast is also included in the price. See you there! Please note: Shuttle to and from the venue is available from this hotel for the wedding party. :)
Hotel
A sister hotel of the Altafulla Mar Hotel, this is also an elegant stay. This 4 star hotel boasts a rooftop pool and walking distance to the Altafulla Mar Hotel.
Hotel
Boasting a mixture of bungalows this resort gives beachy "glamping". Several restaurants and a beach club will have you eating and drinking to your heart's content. Please note, the resort is not walking distance to the venue or Altafulla Mar Hotel, so you'll need to arrange taxi services.
Hotel
Another beautiful hotel in Altafulla with a pool and steps from the beach. This hotel is walkable to the Altafulla Mar Hotel for the transportation to our venue.
Hotel
We stayed here on our trip - an excellent hotel with a wonderful breakfast and a view of the Roman amphitheater and the coast! Highly recommended. While it is further from the venue (13 min drive), If you’re looking to stay in the city of Tarragona, this is the spot!
