Grace and Alec met during the second half of their freshman year at Ohio University, when they ended up in the same English and Psychology classes. Grace had originally planned on taking afternoon classes, but they filled up before she could register - so she had to switch to the early morning classes. Without knowing it, Grace ended up in the same exact ones Alec was already in, thanks to his student athlete schedule. Whether it was fate or just good timing, those schedule changes are what brought Grace and Alec together. Before spring classes even started, their friend Bella - who is now Grace's maid of honor - had already been playing matchmaker and thought they needed to meet.
