Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We would love to see our family and friends dressed up with us! The dress code for the wedding is semi-formal attire. Women can get away with a mid to floor length dress, and for men, tuxedos are not required, but a suit is preferred. No jeans, casual attire, shorts, flip flops, crop tops, etc. We ask that women's dresses are below the knee or floor length; please do not wear mini dresses. For attire questions, you can look up examples of formal attire for women and men, or contact Grace with further questions. The bridesmaids will be wearing light blue, so please try to refrain from light blue attire.

Can i take photos throughout the ceremony?

Answer

In order to ensure we are fully present, we will be having an "unplugged" ceremony. We request that you turn off/silence all phones and devices during the ceremony. We have hired an amazing photographer to capture this special moment and we would be happy to send you any pictures upon request.

What color attire can I wear?

Answer

We welcome everyone to wear whatever they please; however, please do not wear white or light blue.

Do you have room hotel blocks for guests?

Answer

Unfortunately, we are unable to get room blocks at any of the hotels in the Petoskey area because August is their busiest season and they do not offer room blocks during this season. However, if you have Hilton Honors or Marriott rewards you are able to book at the hotels in the area at a discounted rate.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitations. If you received a plus one, they will appear under your name on the RSVP. Thank you for understanding!

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your little ones! However, we have decided to keep our wedding and reception an adults-only event with the exception of immediate family. We encourage you to use this evening as a date night!

Where will the ceremony and receptions be?

Answer

The ceremony will be held outside the venue on their beautiful Lake Lawn. The reception will be held inside the venue in their Sagamore Room. No need to travel in between!

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes, we are registered at Pottery Barn, Crate and Barrel, William Sonoma, Target, and My Registry. All registry information can be found on the Registry tab on our wedding website.
