Grace and Micah met in Merritt Island, Florida for mission trip team training and became fast friends. They spent the summer together serving in Zambia and by the end of the summer were crushing on each other. They figured a long distance relationship wouldn't work and decided it was best to just stay friends and not complicate things.

Over a year after going their separate ways, they were both invited to Portland, Oregon for a reunion. Grace drove 10 hours with a friend and Micah flew into Portland. It was here they decided to give a long distance relationship a shot.

In January of 2019, Grace moved to Great Bend, Kansas to be closer to Micah while going to school at Barton Community College. Finally, they were able to focus on their relationship without having a thousand miles between them!

Micah came to California to visit Grace and her family. The couple went camping in Santa Cruz with Grace's parents and decided to all go on a hike together through the redwood forrest. When they got to the observation deck, they decided to take pictures and to Grace's surprise Micah got down on one knee and asked her to marry him!
