In the Travel + Accommodations page we’ve included recommendations of how to best get to Block Island depending on where you’re coming from (Boston, Chicago, DC, New York, St. Louis)
For the wedding ceremony, we will have reserved taxis shuttling guests from town to the venue. This will begin at 2:15pm and run continuously up until the ceremony begins. Pickup is at the main taxi stand on Water Street, directly across from the ferry. Taxis reserved for the wedding will be marked as such. If you are staying at Champlin's or outside of town, we will coordinate pick ups with you directly! However, if you are within walking distance of the ferry we kindly ask that you use this pickup point. Following the wedding ceremony, we will have taxis bringing people back to town, dropping off at Yellow Kittens. --- Keep in mind that there is no Uber or Lyft on the island, but there are a number of taxi services available. Taxi stands are located on Water Street in Old Harbor (across from the ferry) as well as at each of the marinas in New Harbor (Payne's Dock, The Boat Basin, Champlin's Marina) Bike rentals and car rentals are available in both Old Harbor and New Harbor. Moped rentals are also available, however we advise against these due to safety concerns.
This will be a 21+ event - while we love all your little ones, we want their wonderful parents to enjoy an evening off! We are more than happy to help with coordinating island babysitters for you.
Unfortunately, due to venue capacity we are only able to accommodate those listed on your save the date & invite
Several bars, restaurants, and taxis are cash-only. While there are plenty of ATMs around the island, we'd recommend bringing some cash with you.
