It all started with a little help from a good friend (and a dating app). Matt had just moved to a church plant where he quickly discovered there were very few young adults. Hoping to meet someone special, he decided to give online dating a try. Mandy, on the other hand, had mostly given up on it—until her friend jumped onto her account, matched her with Matt, and even sent the first message, pretending to be Mandy. (Thanks, Abby!) Thankfully, Matt replied—and Mandy took it from there. Since then, we’ve spent the past two years building a life together and bonding over common interests, including our love of the outdoors (especially kayaking), enjoying community events, trying new restaurants, and attending church. God has knit our hearts together through not only the ups but also the downs, and we are so thankful that we have had the opportunity to grow together. We’re so excited to start this next chapter, and we will appreciate your prayer over the years as we begin our next great adventure: marriage! Your love and support mean the world to us!
