We met through a kickball league in the Summer of 2021 — both of us hoping to connect with more people. Our first memorable interaction was on the field. Jordan was the first-base coach, and Tori had made her first run. "No matter what happens, run," Jordan said. And so, Tori ran. She was immediately tagged out. After a few get-togethers, it was immediately clear that we had a real connection. We laughed together. We played a lot of games together. And ultimately established a solid emotional foundation that would only grow deeper in the time that followed.
