FAQs

Question

Where is the wedding taking place?

Answer

Our wedding will take place at Bruma Wine Resort in Valle de Guadalupe, Baja California, Mexico. Just inland from Ensenada. The closest major airport is San Diego (SAN), and guests will cross the border into Mexico to reach the valley. **Note: guests are required to stay a minimum of two nights at the venue or nearby accommodations, so your presence at "the night before" dinner on October 7th is required.

Question

Do I need a passport?

Answer

Yes. A valid passport is required to travel to Mexico and return to the United States. **Please make sure your passport is not expired.

Question

What currency is used?

Answer

Valle de Guadalupe uses the Mexican Peso, but many places also accept U.S. dollars. Credit cards are widely accepted, though we recommend carrying some cash.

Question

Is travel to Valle de Guadalupe common amongst tourists?

Answer

Yes. Valle de Guadalupe is a popular wine region that is frequently visited for weddings and tourism. We will be traveling using arranged transportation during the day.

Question

What do I do if I am from out of town?

Answer

There is a room block at The Sheraton San Diego Bay Resort where you can stay the night you arrive, October 6th. A complimentary shuttle will pick up guests at The Sheraton San Diego Bay Resort on October 7th and drive to Valle. You will be required to stay 2 nights at Bruma, the wedding venue in Valle De Guadalupe, or at our other recommended hotel nearby, called Surya. On October 9th, the shuttle will bring you back to The Sheraton San Diego Bay Resort where you can either stay another night, or take a red eye flight that evening.

Question

When should I arrive and depart if I am from out of town?

Answer

Please arrive by Tuesday October 6th, and depart on Saturday October 10th. If you would like to avoid staying an extra night in San Diego, you can take a red eye the evening of Friday October 9th. Please do not book morning or afternoon flights on Friday the 9th as we will be traveling back from Mexico that day. **Note: guests are required to stay a minimum of 2 nights at the venue or our other reserved hotel in Valle, so your presence at "the night before" dinner on October 7th is required.

Question

How do I get to the wedding venue without a car?

Answer

A complimentary shuttle will pick up guests at The Sheraton San Diego Bay Resort and drive to Valle. Additional details and schedules will be shared closer to the wedding date. If you live local to San Diego and prefer to drive yourself to the venue, there is plenty of parking!

Question
