In 2014, we met for the first time in our office hallway. Sonia introduced herself, and David stared back, wide-eyed without saying a word. He was a character...which she enjoyed. Coincidentally, we ended up on the same project, and after many laughs and late nights, Sonia revealed that she would never date a co-worker. Naturally, he told her he was leaving the firm. She thought, "maybe." A couple months later, David was still at the firm, but he had worked his way into her heart. On her birthday at the Meditation Gardens in Encinitas, David asked Sonia to be his girlfriend. She couldn't help but roll her eyes and smile.
A few birthdays and a kitten later, we took a trip to Europe to celebrate David's 30th. We explored the Amalfi Cost, admired the Sistine Chapel, and almost died driving the Nürburgring. Unbeknownst to her, he carried the ring with him everywhere they went, waiting for the perfect moment to propose. Finally, while exploring the Prague Castle, David got down on one knee and asked Sonia to marry him. Now, here we are getting ready for the wedding of a lifetime! Thank you for celebrating this wonderful new chapter with us.
