We met like most people now a days - online! Brenna was out at a winery with her friends and was complaining about dating apps, so she handed her phone over to her friends. Sam's profile came up and after reading his bio which said "A mixture of Hagrid and Samwise" that is what sealed the deal. Michaela yelled that Raegan had to swipe right because that is exactly what Brenna was looking for. (Thanks Raegan and Michaela) Brenna and Sam started messaging during the Super Bowl (yes Brenna willingly watched football to talk to a cute guy haha.) Later that week Sam swept in and saved Brenna from having dinner and looking around Barnes and Noble by herself. After spending a few hours laughing and getting to know each other over books, Sam and Brenna set up more dates and the rest was history! We are very excited to be celebrating our wedding with you all!

The proposal happened when we went up to Vermont with Brenna's friend group. We spent the weekend exploring some of James and Raegan's favorite spots in Vermont and just hanging out at their cabin enjoying friendship and good laughs. Sam had been planning it with Brenna's friend's behind her back. Sam and Brenna went for a walk along Forest lake (ironic because Brenna grew up going to Forest lake in Methuen and got engaged at Forest lake in Vermont!) It was just the two of them, enjoying a pretty day walking by the lake. Sam got down on one knee, popped the question and it was an immediate yes through many tears. Sam and Brenna went back to the cabin to find all of her friends waiting on the porch to celebrate. The whole group went to celebrate with some Maple creamies and going to out for dinner at Barr Hill.
