After a few years on the coast of California and the Carolina sun, Travis returned home to Iowa. He never thought that getting a job in Williamsburg would lead him to the artist, Bri. He would stop by her office often because he couldn't wait to share "details about work." Their relationship started as friends and coworkers until a competitive ping pong match changed the game. Travis and Bri spent the next year or so getting to know each other through sporadic communication. Fast forward to November 2024 after drinks, an Iowa game, and late night chili in Logan's garage, they knew they were right for each other. Come Thanksgiving, they finally made it official after attending each others family gatherings. They never expected their first year together to lead with so many twists and turns, but God brought them together when they needed love the most. It wasn't just a romance built on fun and simple things, the Lord was weaving comfort through the sorrow that life brings. Through loss, a job change, a move to Des Moines, and countless trips back home, their love grew stronger. Come February 2026, on Bri's birthday, they started out with some pedicures and much needed coffee. After a walk with Chief in the rare 66 degree weather in February, they got ready for dinner and drinks. After a few drinks, naturally, Travis wanted to "check out" an overpass with a lit up view of downtown Des Moines. Despite the wind and chill, Bri didn't question Travis' desire to go check something out given his curious nature. It was during the walk over to the overpass when Bri started to get suspicious about what Travis really had planned. After viewing the sites for a few minutes, Bri spotted the GoPro Travis had planted to capture a very special moment. Travis asked Bri to marry him and by Gorsch, she said yes! And they had a Dell of a good day.
