Growing up in the same small town, we have known each other since intermediary school. However, it wasn't until junior year of high school that we started hanging out in the same friend group, both serving as leaders for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. We quickly realized how much fun we had together and our friendship soon flourished into an amazing relationship. We started dating on November 4th, 2013 and have experienced many wonderful adventures since. We look forward to the many more soon to come as we begin this new journey together.

To my complete surprise, Caleb traveled 5,249 miles across the world to propose to me while I was studying abroad in Barcelona, Spain. After several days of unforeseen rain delays, we finally made it to Monserrat, a monastery on top of a beautiful mountain range. The journey required a train, gondola, and another train to reach the very top. Somehow Caleb managed to convince me that we could do it, despite my fear of heights. At the top, we hiked on several trails taking in the beauty and awe of the magnificent view until the sun began to set.. Taking in one last view of the mountains before we were about head back, Caleb got down on one knee and popped the question. I was wonderfully surprised and speechless, but managed to ask "Are you serious?" in disbelief, and quickly after said YES!! Thank you to my amazing family, friends, and Caleb, for making the official start of our new chapter absolutely perfect. - Lindsey
