We met shortly after Eric moved up to Michigan. We both had joined rec rowing at the Detroit Boat Club on Belle Isle. The first sesssion was spent prepping the and cleaning the boats for the season and the boats were loaded with spiders. Nicole was attacked by one of the spiders and Eric came to the rescue, squishing it. After getting to know each other better, we started dating on the 4th of July, 2018 and have had several adventures together ever since.

Nicole's family vacations at Sauble Beach, ON every year. Eric thought it would be the perfect place to propose to her. On the second day of our vacation, we were planning on having a nice dinner in town but wanted to take some nice pictures on the beach. Little did Nicole know that the pictures were a ruse and Eric went down on one knee!
