FAQs

We’ll be adding more FAQs and details — including dress code information and additional event details — as the wedding approaches. Check back for updates, and in the meantime visit the Schedule and Travel pages for the latest planning details.
Question

How do I book my hotel for the wedding?

Answer

All wedding guests should book their stay at Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana through our destination wedding planner, Forever in the Sand. Booking through the planner is required to be included in our wedding room block and wedding events. Please do not book directly with the resort. Full booking instructions are available on the Travel page.

Question

What’s the difference between RSVPing and booking through the room block?

Answer

RSVPing and booking your hotel serve two different purposes. Booking through the room block is how you reserve your accommodations at the resort. RSVPs help us plan our wedding events, including the welcome event, ceremony, and reception. We’re asking guests to RSVP now to help us with early planning estimates. You’ll be able to update your response later as your travel plans are finalized.

Question

Should I book travel now?

Answer

Yes. Our room block and booking details are now available. Please visit the Travel page for instructions on booking your hotel, airport transfers, and flights.

Question

What airport should I fly into?

Answer

Guests should fly into Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ).

Question

How do airport transfers work?

Answer

Transportation between Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) and the resort is required. For arrival, guests who book transfers through our destination wedding planner will be met at the airport after clearing immigration and customs and directed to their transportation. For departure, transfers typically depart the resort approximately 3 hours before scheduled flight departure, which is standard for international flights.

Question

How many nights should we plan to stay?

Answer

The wedding is on Sunday, with an optional welcome event on Saturday. The resort requires a three-night minimum stay. Many guests plan to stay Friday–Monday or Saturday–Tuesday, but you’re welcome to stay longer and make a full vacation out of the trip.

Question

What dates will Kelly and Scott be at the resort?

Answer

We’ll be at the resort from Wednesday through Thursday and would love for anyone who wants to make a longer trip out of it to join us for as much of the week as you’d like.

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

Yes. We chose a family-friendly resort, and children are welcome to attend the ceremony. For the evening reception, we encourage parents to arrange childcare so they can fully enjoy the celebration. Babysitting services are available through the resort and should be arranged in advance.

Question

What’s included at the resort?

Answer

Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana is an all-inclusive resort. Your stay includes meals, drinks, and many on-site activities. Additional experiences may be available at an extra cost.

Question

Do I need a passport?

Answer

Yes. A valid passport is required for travel to the Dominican Republic. Please ensure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your travel dates.

Question

Who should I contact with travel questions?

Answer

For questions related to hotel bookings, airport transfers, payments, or travel insurance, please contact our destination wedding planner, Forever in the Sand, at info@foreverinthesand.com For questions related to wedding-day events and details, feel free to reach out to us.
