Question

What are the COVID protocols for the wedding?

Answer

We have chosen to not require proof of vaccine or negative tests to attend our wedding, although majority of our guests will be vaccinated. Masks are also not required once you enter the ballroom. We understand the risks we are taking, however, we also understand those who are not comfortable attending as a result. If you are not comfortable with our decisions, we understand your choice not to attend. You are welcome to wear a mask at all times if you choose. After postponing twice, we are excited to have "normal" wedding and look forward to celebrating with those who are comfortable attending.

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

RSVP deadline is December 1, 2021.

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are registered at Bloomingdale's, Target and Zola. Click registry page for details.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Ceremony will start at 5:30 PM, so please arrive no later than 5:15 PM.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Cocktail attire. Suits for men and cocktail dresses or equivalent for women are required.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Only if your date is invited or we indicate a plus one on your invitation.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Only if they are included on the invitation.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have a room block at the Palmer House. Click the travel page for details on our room block and discounted room rates.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

We will have food stations with many options for all diets. If you have a very specific diet or food allergy, email mother of the bride, Darlene Gordon, at dgordon110@yahoo.com or indicate it on your RSVP card.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes we will have valet parking at the hotel for $32 or discounted parking at the 55 E. Monroe lot across the street for $16 (up to 12 hours). Click the travel page for more details.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony and reception are both taking place at the Palmer House.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer
