What should I wear?

Answer

We are keeping the wedding and reception casual... but leave your jeans at home. Nice cocktail attire is absolutely fine. Feel free to add a nod or two to Lord of the Rings or The Princess Bride if you wish! Of note, it may be June, but Colorado can be finnicky! Please make sure you bring light layers in case our outdoor wedding ceremony gets breezy or chilly!

Are children allowed?

Unfortunately, we are not allowing children over the age of 1 to attend this event.

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

We have planned a wonderful and intimate event for our closest friends and family. As such, we ask that you not bring any additional guests that were not included on your invitation.

Reception Jam Session

Answer

We love music, and we know you do too! As part of our celebration we are welcoming individuals to bring musical instruments to be part of a jam session towards the end of our reception. But Gail and Gordon! I can't bring my drum kit on a plane! Not a problem. Let us know what you're looking for in advance of the big day and we'll do our best to find you something locally. But I don't have a special song to play! That's okay too! We just want you to share what feels most true to your musical self, and if that's something new or old - that's okay! We're just happy to celebrate with you.

What is the parking situation?

At the ceremony site: Majestic View Park: There is limited parking at this site and two different parking locations. We encourage you to carpool to this site. If you need a closer parking spot, the parking lot at 8880 W 72nd Ave, Arvada, CO 80004 is the better location. That said, this is a public park and we are not able to hold spots or spaces for the wedding. If there are no parking spots left at that location, the second parking location is the Majestic View Nature Center: 7030 Garrison St, Arvada, CO 80004. The walk from this parking lot to the ceremony site is approximately 5-7 minutes depending on pace. There will be ushers at each parking lot to ensure you make it to the ceremony site. Please budget in time for your walk from the parking lot to the ceremony site. At the reception site: Subjective Coffee There are approximately 35 parking spaces at Subjective (in front and alongside) and an additional 30 parking spaces in the very close vicinity (next to Electric City Repair & along Meade St.). Please note, Subjective Coffee closes at 2 pm and will not be open again for the cocktail hour until 5:15, but you are more than welcome to leave your car in the parking lot and car pool to the ceremony site.
