What about COVID-19?

Answer

After a lot of thought and consideration we are asking our guests to please get vaccinated if they plan to attend our wedding. In the interest of public safety and responsibility, we feel this is the best course of action. We completely understand there are a lot of personal and health reasons people choose not to get the Covid-19 vaccine, but at this time we are trying to mitigate risk as best we can. Thank you for understanding.

How do we get to the venue?

Answer

The Bar Harbor Club is centrally located within the town and is walkable from pretty much everywhere within Bar Harbor proper. There are cab companies like Point2Point if you are staying outside of town in one of the many villages MDI has to offer, and you can generally call ahead to ensure transportation.

Are there places to stay outside of Bar Harbor?

Answer

Yes! Mount Desert Island has many different villages; from Southwest to Northeast Harbor and anywhere in between there is ample lodging to be found.

How do we get around the island?

Answer

It is not lost on us that Bar Harbor and Acadia get very busy come summertime. Especially in August. If you feel like parking or struggle to find parking, we suggest bringing or renting bikes to scoot around town and bring to your hiking area of choice. Don't forget the carriage trails too!
