Elkton Brewing Company
We stopped by here after touring our wedding venue for the first time and loved the vibes. The brewery is located right next to the railroad tracks; if you happen to hear a train roll by be sure to head up and grab a brew as they offer discounts on pints while the train is passing through!
Mashita - Korean Inspired Restaurant
This tiny restaurant offers fresh, delicious Korean food packed with flavor! I ate here once with my sister and for days couldn't stop talking about the amazing food we had. If you are a foodie like me, you have to eat here during your stay. I recommend the kimchi, pork belly steamed buns, and bibimbap with beef bulgogi ( but honestly I would eat anything on their menu).
Shenandoah National Park- Swift Run Gap Entrance
The Swift Run Gap Entrance Station for SNP is located just 10 miles and approximately 15 minutes from the wedding venue. If you like to hike, SNP offers some awesome hikes with amazing views. Some hikes to consider close to Swift Run Gap are Upper Hawksbill or Doyles River Falls. *There is entrance fee for SNP, you will have to purchase a day or season pass to enter the park*
Jack Brown's Beer & Burger Joint Harrisonburg
If you want an awesomely delicious burger and a cold brew, this is the spot. It's well loved by the Harrisonburg locals and JMU students. Located only 0.5 mile from Hotel Madison you can be there in about a ten minute walk.
Greenberry's Coffee Roasters
If you need a pick me up after partying a little too much at the reception, stop by Greenberry's. They offer delicious small batch, craft roasted coffee and a variety of handcrafted drinks and smoothies. It's located less than half a mile from Hotel Madison and is under a ten minute walk.
Kline's Dairy Bar - McGaheysville
Kline's Dairy Bar's original location opened back in 1943 and is a well known to anyone in Harrisonburg area for their many delicious ice cream flavors. My favorite is the chocolate peanut butter, yum!
