Our Story

This 21st century love story begins with a swipe. Anxiously, both had begun choosing their first conversation responses like a surgeon, with careful attention and calculated precision. A natural spark blossomed. The daunting texting stage had begun. They had texted for a few weeks just getting to virtually know each other before deciding to take the first step. It was at Michael's Restaurant in Worth for an early morning breakfast. Behind the hustle and bustle of fresh pancakes, cheap coffee, and friendly service Grace and Sean had entered their first date. They chatted about things going on in life, aspirations, values, hopes, and of course dreams. After breakfast, they had agreed for a second date. The foundations that Grace and Sean learned from each other early in their dating life was that it was safe for both of them to be themselves. No matter how intimidating, they found that it was always a safe space to just share. Whether it be stories, opinions, jokes, frustrations, thoughts, and dreams. They always have an innate ability to listen to each other. Fast forward through years Sean had decided that he was going to propose on their trip to Key West in March of 2025. The only issue was that he kept the ring in his carry on, and that bag was checked right before boarding. To not raise suspicion, he calmly agreed. When we had our layover in Washington D.C., the bag containing the ring did not make the boarding flight. It was safe to say Sean was a wreck in Key West for the first day and a half. Grace could sense the inflated stress of something more than just a late bag. When the bag containing the ring finally arrived Sean had convinced Grace that they needed to immediately go to the airport for his “bag of clothes". Shortly after retrieving the bag, they had planned to go to the beach to watch a sunset. Sean had a whirling sense that Grace knew what was in the bag but wanted to keep the element of surprise. So instead of taking the ring out of the box and putting it in his shorts, he had decided the ring had a rightful home on the hand of the woman he loves. The proposal was going to happen sooner than later. Stepping out of the bathroom after an early evening shower, Grace was met with a trembling man ready to ask for her hand in marriage. With an overjoyed bolt of excitement, she had said yes! We are so glad you all share a part of our story and we are excited for you to join us as we tether our lives together!
