We met in 2008, our senior year of high school. Our first "meeting", more like interaction, was through MySpace. A friend request and a few messages later, we began creating a talking relationship. Skip a few months forward, mix in a little high school drama, and we finally went on our first date - January 22, 2009 - a high school basketball game. This was the start of our love story.

In November of 2017, Nathan and Amberly went on a trip to San Francisco to explore their favorite city and to see Nathan's favorite team, the 49ers, play football. The year before Nathan and Amberly had gone to do the same thing their first time together and the both fell in love with the city together. So, on this weekend getaway to San Francisco, Nathan continued to insist they do something outside of the city. After looking at different tours, they agreed on a trip to Muir Woods and a day of wine tasting in Sonoma. When the day came, it seem like a normal morning...running late, stopping for coffee, and ready for the adventure of the day. They first arrived to Muir Woods in which Nathan was so distressed about forgetting to wear his watch, he HAD to run back to the tour bus...Amberly was a little annoyed by this since they only had so much time at the location. When Nathan came back they began their tour of Muir Woods. They stopped and took pictures, soaked in the beautiful Redwood Trees, admired the site Star Wars was filmed, and just enjoyed to beauty of nature. They had gotten to an open spot and Amberly wanted to get a picture of the two of them. Nathan found a couple ladies who were in the tour group to take the picture. Little did Amberly know that he had set his phone to record a video and told the ladies he was about to propose. Nathan joined Amberly, but tried to stand on "her side" for the photo, but before she could argue he turned to her, looked her in the eyes and began saying these beautiful words and before she knew it, Nathan was down on one knee. It was the most perfect moment and the most perfect place to say, "YES!". People had crowded around and congratulated them and it was such a special moment. The day continued to be perfect as they finished their wine tours and headed back to the city.
