Everyone is welcome! Our celebrant, Father Wayne, is very welcoming and will explain the steps of the Mass as we celebrate the ceremony.
We are looking forward to celebrating the entire day with you and your family! Children are welcome to join us at Epiphany for the ceremony, but we ask that they stay with grandma and grandpa, or a babysitter, for the evening's reception at Station 3.
Communion is offered to Catholics who are in good standing with the Church. If you're Catholic and have received your First Communion, you're welcome to participate. Non-Catholics or those who have not received First Communion are invited to come forward and receive a blessing or remain seated during this part of the ceremony.
We have hired a great and very knowledgable photographer for the day. He will take photos throughout the ceremony and reception. If you'd like to take a photo or two, that would be great, but we ask that you are present and experience the day with us without viewing it through a screen.
We encourage guests to dress modestly and respectfully, as it is a sacred ceremony. Women typically wear formal dresses, skirts, or dresses with sleeves (or a shawl or wrap) to cover their shoulders, as a sign of reverence. Men should wear a suit or dress slacks with a collared shirt, and a tie is often appreciated. Bright or casual attire, like shorts or jeans, is generally not appropriate for this formal occasion. If you're attending both the ceremony and the reception, consider the transition from sacred to celebratory, and feel free to add more festive touches for the reception afterward!
