We both grew up in South Los Angeles, but our paths are not likely to have crossed without the help of technology. We matched on Bumble in late 2019 and had our first date at Round 1. From the start, we made time for weekly dates, finding ways to enjoy each other’s company and make the most of every moment together. Those early days were filled with laughter, new experiences, and a growing sense that we had found something real. We moved in together in December 2022 and started building a life side by side. We knew soon after that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. In June 2024, we took a trip to one of our favorite coastal cities, Santa Barbara. We spent the trip visiting beaches, sight-seeing, and dining. Alex carried the ring in his pocket the entire trip, waiting for the perfect moment to propose, but could not find a quiet moment to do so. With the trip coming to an end, we stopped at our favorite pizza place in Montecito, where Alex decided he wasn’t leaving without a fiancee. He suggested a final beach stop to avoid traffic, where we found a path lined with bougainvilleas and a solitary bench. It was there that Alex finally found the perfect moment to propose. Now, we are counting down to our wedding day and we can’t wait to celebrate this day with you all!
