We're Getting Married!

It was summer in 2013, on a young Friday night and my brother Jose Carrizales, AKA Avocado invited me out to go bowling with his friends. Back then, I normally would never go out but this night just felt different. All my brothers’ friends knew my brother had a sister, but they assumed he only had Lety as a sister, so to Jose Gonzalez (my fiancé) pleasant surprised, there was another sister. You could say I impressed him with my amazing bowling skills, or maybe it was the insults I threw at him for thinking he was a better bowler than me. For me, it was when we drove to the bowling alley in his 2014 prelude and when I asked for a different song, he refused to change the drake song because he had no other CD to put in. It was when I would throw insults and he was so quick to throw some back. It was the smile he gave me that night that made me text him while I was at work that Saturday and ask him to have lunch with me. That day, in a Chili’s in our hometown, it was like I met up with a friend I knew forever and just wanted to fill them in with everything they missed. We talked for hours, and that lunch became the lunch break that never ended.

It was a usual Friday night as always I was at home reading a book, when suddenly my good friend Jose Carrizales calls me. He invited me to go bowling with his friend and sister. Didn’t really think much of it, I told him I was down as usual. He asked me if I could drive, I told him sure no problem. When I went to pick him up, this random girl got in my car, I was confused and looked at Jose and said who’s this? He responded that’s my sister, me still confused that ain’t Lety. He goes on to tell me that’s my younger sister, Yesenia, in my head I just thought damn she’s beautiful. She really impressed me that night, besides that smile and dimples, man how she can throw insults at you she would make me laugh. On early Saturday my friends Jose and Alex called to invite to a soccer game, I told them yea I was down, told them I would meet them after I finish my breakfast, when suddenly I got a text from Yesenia to have lunch, I had the biggest smile ever. Quickly I texted friends, told them I couldn’t make it that something came up. Even though I wasn’t hungry I really wanted to spend time with this Girl, I knew at that Chili’s restaurant she was different she was someone I always wanted to be around.
