Felicia and Jason both woke up on October 14, 2016 thinking it was just going to be another day on the job. When they both took a detail that day, they had no idea that it would change their lives forever. As I like to tell the story, "there he was, the most beautiful man I had ever seen" I sat in my car contemplating driving right by the job site because being in a police uniform is the last way I wanted to be introducing myself to this guy. But I didn't. I rolled down my window and he smiled at me and introduced himself and I can’t say I even remember what I said. We stayed at that intersection and literally talked about everything for 8 hours. At the end of the detail, he asked me out on a date. Date one led to date two and here we are today, planning a wedding.
Fast forward two plus years and here we are, back at the same intersection where we met. He had me convinced I was having a girls day in Newburyport with our moms. We turn down that street and I immediately began reminiscing. All of a sudden there is a police cruiser blocking the road. The cop waves us on and said we are clear to pass. There he was, standing with about 60 people standing behind him. He had a photographer and an engagement party planned afterwards. He thought of it all.
