It’s easy to assume that Lou and Jenn’s story began when Lou dropped into Jenn’s DMs last spring, but the truth is their story began many years earlier, when they were just children trying to find their way and unknowingly searching for one another. Although their paths were not ready to merge quite yet, they were heading in the right direction. Both were finding their purpose and, eventually, finding Jesus. Jesus was what stood out to Lou as he saw many posts about Jenn’s newfound identity in Him. When Lou reached out, it wasn’t to check in—it was to see if their desired future was the same. Lou was not like any guy Jenn had been interested in before. He was forward, wanted to talk through things, and above everything else, he put God first. This made Jenn certain that their paths were finally lining up and that Lou was the one. Their first date was at Louie’s Wood Fired Bar & Grill, and Jenn tried to control every aspect of it—including where Lou parked. Lou didn’t get mad. Instead, he was patient and kind, showing Jenn that “he’s got this.” Throughout their entire relationship, Lou has continued to let Jenn know that “he’s got it.” That was true when he said “I love you” first at his family property, and it was true seven months later when he proposed there on a cold winter night. Their shared love for God is at the center of their relationship and the foundation on which they are building their future. What they admire most in one another is a genuine heart for the Lord—a love that continues to draw them closer to Him and to each other. During this engagement season, God has been teaching them to rely more on His guidance than their own, refining their communication, strengthening their faith, and preparing them not just for a wedding day, but for a Christ-centered marriage. It is only fitting that the place where their love grew deeper will also be the place where we celebrate them becoming one on September 12, 2026.
