The oldest commercial operating winery in the Kittitas Valley, Thrall & Dodge is located north of the Yakima Valley near Ellensburg. The Winery is perched on Manastash Ridge near the intersection of Boylston and Saddle Mountains in what is known as the fruit basket of Kittitas Valley. In addition to award-winning wines, the winery enjoys spectacular views of the Valley and the Stuart Mountain Range. Guests can enjoy a private tasting room, bocce ball court, and picnic area.

From the densely forested Cascades to the scablands carved by the Ice Age floods, Palouse to Cascades State Park Trail gives hikers, cyclists and, in some places, equestrians, a taste of Washington’s diversity. This linear park runs from west of North Bend to the Columbia River near Vantage – and continues from the town of Lind to the Idaho border. You can jump on the trail in Ellensburg and walk as far as you'd like to checking out the beauty that surrounds you East of the mountains!
Founded in 1890, CWU is currently based on a 380 acre campus in the town of Ellensburg, located in Washington state. CWU offers over 135 majors courses, and has nationally or regionally distinguished programmes in music, geology, paramedicine, physics, and education. It's a beautiful campus to walk around on a sunny day!
