Isabel went out with a friend to Applebee’s in Farmingdale. As we all know, Jim talks to everyone, and he started chatting with Isabel and quickly had her laughing. It didn’t take long before they started talking about football. When Isabel told him she was a Cowboys fan, Jim made a smart-aleck remark and said that women like the Cowboys because they think Troy Aikman is cute. Isabel quickly replied that while she knows Troy Aikman is a great quarterback, her favorite player was #31 Roy Williams, the safety for the Dallas Cowboys. Jim’s face lit up when he realized she was a true fan. For their first Christmas together, Jim gave Isabel a white #31 Roy Williams Cowboys jersey — her very first jersey. Isabel and Jim soon became best friends. Jim still makes Isabel laugh every day… and the rest is history.
