Where are you getting married?

Answer

Our special day will take place at the Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres located in Costa Mujeres, Mexico. Get your passports ready!

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Due to destination and limited amount of guests, we do ask that you give an RSVP as soon as possible so that we have an estimated head count. The last date to officially RSVP will be July 31st. Please RSVP on wedding website on tab titled RSVP.

Have you reserved a room block at the resort?

Answer

Yes, and we’ve partnered with an incredible travel coordinator to assist you with all of your booking needs. Please see our Travel page here on this website for her contact information. We do recommend booking your stay sooner rather than later, as we could only reserve a given number of rooms in our block. There is a $100 deposit when booking. All stays must be paid in full by October 25th.

Is the resort all inclusive?

Answer

Yes, Majestic Elegance is an all-inclusive resort with limitless gourmet food, top-shelf drinks, and never-ending activities.

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

Although we love your little ones, this is an adult only affair, as the Majestic Elegance room block is within an Adults only section. Due to limited occupancy, we are unable to accommodate children at our wedding. We hope you look forward to a fun, relaxing, adult-focused trip.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Our goal is to keep our very special weekend as intimate as possible, we are choosing to celebrate with only our closest family and friends. Thank you for respecting our wishes.

Do I need to purchase travel insurance?

Answer

Travel insurance is optional. If you are unsure, please discuss it with our travel coordinator to determine the best option for you. If you do select travel insurance, if you need to cancel your travel plans for any reason prior to your originally scheduled departure time, you'll receive a refund or future travel credit (depending on the plan you purchase) with the exception of the cost of your plan.

What will the weather be like?

According to our dear friend, Google, the average temperature in Playa Mujeres in January is described as pleasantly warm with a gentle breeze/humid. A typical day ranges from a high of 79°F (26°C) to a low of 73°F (23°C).

What days do I need to be available for wedding festivities?

Answer

We would like to invite everyone to our Welcome Cocktail Party on the night of January 18th (time to be determined). The Ceremony and Reception will take place on January 20th at 5pm.

How long can I stay at the resort before/after the wedding?

Answer

The resort requires a stay of at least four nights. Otherwise, we would love for you to stay as long as you’d like (come early or stay longer)! We are looking forward to spending as much time as possible with our family and friends. The Majority of guests will arrive Friday, January 17th and depart Tuesday, January 21st.

What dates are the Bride and Groom going to be at the resort?

Answer

We will arrive on January 16th and stay through January 22nd.

When should I book my flights?

Answer

Our travel coordinator recommends that everyone book their flights separately as they see fit. The airport you will want to fly into is Cancun International Airport. We recommend keeping an eye on flights, as flights can range in price anywhere from 2 to 6 months prior to your departure.

Is transportation included to and from the airport and resort?

Answer

All hotel reservations at the Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres includes complimentary airport transfer to and from the hotel for ease of guests! Resort is approximately 35 minutes from airport.

Do I need a passport?

Answer

Yes! You will need a passport in order to travel to Cancun (passport cards unfortunately will not work when flying). The Mexican government only requires that your passport is valid during the entirety of your trip (there is not a 6 month rule).

How will you communicate any updated information and/or changes before the wedding?

Answer

We will be updating our wedding website with details and additional information as it becomes available to us. In the event of any major changes, we will communicate by email and/or text.

What type of food and drink will be served during the cocktail hour and reception?

Answer

We are currently working with our events team to determine what food and drink options will be made available. If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know when you RSVP as we want everyone to have the necessary options.
