This is our favorite place to have a beer, play some pool, and look up at the redwoods after a hike in the surrounding mountains.
Sam McDonald Park
One of our favorite hikes is to head up the Heritage Grove Trail, up to the ridgeline to see the Hiker's Hut, and then take the Towne Fire Road back to the parking lot.
Barbara's Fishtrap
One of the best places for fish and chips, cozy atmosphere, and harbor views. Visit during the off times since it is a busy place on the weekends. Pro tip: play "I Spy" inside of the restaurant to hunt amongst all the nautical trinkets and artwork.
Devil's Slide & Gray Whale Cove
Any hikes on the mountain trails, walks on the abandoned Devil's Slide road, or trips down to Gray Whale Cove or Montara Beach, all of which will be awe-inspiring and will provide breathtaking views.
Pigeon Point Lighthouse
While driving down Highway 1, feel free to stop at any of the beaches along the way, even at Gazos Creek State Beach where Ben proposed! Pigeon Point Lighthouse is a beautiful historical site nearby as well.
Rossotti’s Alpine Inn
If you are staying in the Peninsula, this is one of our favorite popular spots for outdoor eating under the oak trees - great food and drinks!
Pescadero Creek Park
Right across the street from our group campsite in Memorial Park Campground, Pescadero Creek Park has many hiking trails, fire roads, meadows, and creeks to explore on group hikes.
Half Moon Bay Brewing Company
A popular local spot in Half Moon Bay for appetizers, beers, and seafood with indoor and outdoor seating. We might have people join us here on Friday night for food and drinks.
Old Princeton Landing Public House and Grill
A local surfer dive bar in Half Moon Bay, within walking distance of our favorite seafood restaurants and breweries. This is a great casual spot to relax, play some pool, listen to live music, and have a drink with the locals.
Harley Farms Goat Dairy
Visit the local goat farm in Pescadero, and say hello to the goats and browse their farm shop for tasty snacks. They have picnic tables on-site for visitors who purchase something from their farm shop.

Our standby Mexican restaurant in Half Moon Bay for some great enchiladas. Sit down inside to eat, outdoors on the patio, or take your food to-go and eat at Francis Beach right down Kelly Ave.
