Dylan and I first met through a mutual friend but it wasn’t until a few years later that we started dating. Snapchat was just becoming popular when we began sending innocent snaps to one another. I’d make it a point to send cute selfies, and he’d always respond. We decided to meet up for coffee one night in February of 2015 and we’ve been inseparable ever since.

I was missing my friends dearly, so I decided to drive up to the Bay Area on my own to visit with them. Dylan couldn’t take off so much time from work, so he stayed behind to take care of our four cats. My friends had the idea to go into San Francisco for the afternoon to visit de Young Museum and get dinner. When we got to the museum, they suggested going up to the observation deck to take pictures. Once we got up there, we had a beautiful 360 degree view of the city. We began to take pictures together, as my girlfriends were showing me different neighborhoods and famous buildings. All of the sudden, I hear my name yelled from behind me. I turned around, and there was Dylan on one knee asking me to marry him. I was in total shock! I had no idea that this was all an elaborate proposal scheme set up by Dylan and my dearest friends! After a few seconds of shock and disbelief, I finally exclaimed, “well yeah!” I still can’t believe that Dylan drove all the way to San Francisco for only 24 hours just to propose. I’m a lucky lady.
