David Grann
Officiant
David Grann is Edward's big brother who is flying in from Rye, NY with his family. Dave has so much on his plate these days, and we are so grateful to have him be the super glue of our wedding day, as officiant of our ceremony! A little bit more about David, he is a NY Times best-selling author. David is currently working on finalizing his next book, and we are so thankful he has made time in his busy schedule to help guide us through our wedding ceremony, perform it and witness us exchange our wedding vows! David is joined by his beautiful wife, Kyra Grann and his children, Zach and Ella Grann.
Phyllis Grann
Mother of the Groom
Phyllis Grann is Edward's mother, our lovely Mother of the Groom. Phyllis is a NYC native and is so proud and excited to be a part of and celebrate his wedding day with Caroline. Phyllis raised her children in Connecticut, on the water with her husband, Dr. Victor Grann. She was the first female CEO of Penguin Putnam, a major publishing firm. Phyllis is joined by her children, Alison Grann Gutstein, David Grann, and their families including her grandchildren -- Naomi Gutstein, Jake Gutstein, Ella and Zachary Grann.
Ricardo Gomez
Father of the Bride
Caroline's father, Ricardo Gomez is thrilled to be alive and walking his only daughter down the aisle on 2/11/22! He met Caroline's mom, Linda Gomez through a colleague who was Linda's cousin, and they were married within a very short period of time, but Caroline did not arrive until 5 years later! They just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in June 2021 in Las Vegas at the Venetian. Ric is retired from his life as a chemical engineer creating windows for fighter airplanes, and is enjoying his down time in Porter Ranch, CA, following the stock market, watching basketball and football. He looks forward to seeing the RAMS win the Super Bowl, and traveling again on cruises around the world!
Linda Gomez
Mother of the Bride
Linda Gomez has been PRAYING for this day to come! As the Mother of the Bride, Linda is the MOST excited for this day as she has been praying for Edward Grann to come into Caroline's life. Linda's roots include seven siblings. She taught accounting classes in the Philippines, and worked for the State of CA as an CPA/auditor. She retired early, and has been traveling and enjoying life to the fullest. Linda's devotion to the church is paramount. She was President of her ministry, and sang in three Church choirs over the years. She has a love for cruises and live concerts, and most recently enjoyed celebrating her 50th wedding anniversary in June 2020 with Ricardo, Caroline & Edward.
Daniel Chandler
Best Man
Dan Chandler is Edward's Best Man. They first met in Paris in 2006, when Dan was a Creative Director at Publicis and Edward was starting his company, Warm & Fuzzy. They were two new foreigners in Paris, who spoke English. Dan worked in a fishbowl in the middle of the room at Publicis where Ed would always walk by. Their friendship grew. After Paris, Dan would visit Ed while on production in the UK. Ed would visit Dan in NY when he would visit family. Dan moved to LA to work at Sid Lee, and is now an ECD at Google, spearheading content & experiential. Little did they know they’d end up in LA, and live down the street from each other! Dan's family grew to four. Dan is joined by his lovely wife, Sophie Chandler. They have two adorable children, Marlo and Olia!
Suzanne Guidi
Maid of Honor
Suzanne Guidi is Caroline's Maid of Honor and bestie from college, at Loyola Marymount University. Suzanne and Caroline have traveled to so many amazing countries together, including Japan, New Zealand, Australia (with Kerry Ko!), to Italy, France, and Spain as well as to Costa Rica, Honduras, Las Vegas and more. They share a love for running and Barry's Bootcamp, and have run over a dozen marathons and half-marathons together through the years! They've experienced the roller coaster of life together, and the mutual support, love and friendship remain strong. Suzanne has an incredible career in education and serves as Vice Principal in Fullerton, building advanced programs for teachers and schools.
