We first met at the gym, and at the time, neither of us thought much of it. What we didn’t know was that one simple introduction would turn into something that would change both of our lives. We became friends first. The kind of friends who could talk for hours, laugh about the most random things, and feel completely comfortable just being ourselves. There was an ease between us from the beginning, and without even realizing it, that friendship began to grow into something deeper. When we started dating, I saw a different side of Alejandro. The tough exterior I thought he had faded quickly, and I found the most genuine, caring, and loving man underneath it all. He’s my safe place, my calm, and the person who makes everything feel lighter. Being with him changed me too. My cousins and best friends used to call me “Elsa” because they said I had no feelings. But somehow, Alejandro melted my heart. And if you know me, you know that’s saying a lot. He softened parts of me I didn’t even realize were guarded. Today, we choose each other every day. We support one another, grow together, and find joy even in the simplest moments. What started as a friendship has become a love built on trust, patience, and deep understanding.
