Meet Cute
In the beginning...
What everyone knows is that Jess and Sebas are high school sweethearts. What you don’t know is that they actually met for the first time in the halls of Garden Spot, walking to the buses—Jess with a friend of Sebas’s, and Sebas with a friend of Jess’s. Oddly enough, they shared the same friend group for two years before ever meeting. (New Holland is a small town, so this is actually wild! AND sebas was friends with Jess's brother.) So here's the kicker: Jess’s friends had been telling her for two years that she should date Sebas… before she had even met him or knew who he was. You see, Jess’s friends thought Sebas was a new student starting middle school with her in 7th grade. In reality, he had just moved to town as an 8th grader. Over the summer, he attended one of the tours for 7th graders transitioning to middle school, and Jess's friends were his tour guides. They thought he was cute, so for her entire 7th grade year, they kept telling Jess she should date “Monkey Boy.” Jess never knew who “Monkey Boy” was. Eventually, she stopped asking them to explain and moved on, completely forgetting their advice. She honestly thought they were talking about someone else—and it was a hard no. Fast forward a few years: Jess and Sebas had been dating for two or three years when one of their friends casually mentioned how they used to call him Monkey Boy. Jess was shocked. She had, in fact, been dating the very same "Monkey Boy" her friends had been hyping all along.
Dating
SHHH... Don't tell!
Jess and Sebas began "secretly” dating on 8/31/07. Jess wasn’t allowed to date… but what are rules? And have you met Sebas—how could she say no? She even got grounded for an entire month for holding his hand at a football game—yikes! Officially, she wasn’t allowed to date until her junior year, and Sebas even asked her dad for permission. (Cue the “awws”!) High school was filled with proms, football games, town fairs, passing notes, bonfires, walking each other to class, and hanging out with friends.
The College Years
C-I-N-O
It wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows—there were a few breakups along the way. But even through the breakups, Jess and Sebas were always attached. Were they ever actually broken up? Hard to say. College was a time of growth—both individually and as a couple. During those years, they took their first vacation together, adopted their prince and PERFECT baby Spades, got engaged on 7/16/14, and moved to Miami.
Marriage
Are We Old Enough For This?...
Just babes of 23, Jess and Sebas got married on 12/31/15. A New Year’s Eve wedding—could you imagine them doing it any other way? While in Miami, they earned their master’s degrees, ate amazing food, and visited their first-ever Christmas light show, known as the Christmas Castle (spoiler alert: this would eventually inspire them to start their own light show). Miami became a home to them, but eventually they had to pack their bags and move to Bradenton, Florida for Sebas’s new job with the Pirates.
The Gomez's

Bradenton eventually became Parrish, and an apartment rental eventually became their first home! That home became the hot spot for the very famous, very well-loved, highly anticipated, Glomez Show—make sure to like their page and check it out! They’ve endured hurricanes, celebrated birthdays, hosted the backyard cinema, completed Savage Races, and tackled DIY projects—Sebas building tables and a complete office renovation, Jess overseeing it all. Once wee babies, and now a decade later they are celebrating a marriage filled with overcoming challenges, laughter, traditions, support, quality time, and love.
