Something Tim doesn’t like to share is the fact that we met on a dating app called Hinge. We matched on Thanksgiving day in 2015 when Tim sent a message that said “I am thankful for this match”. Tim’s parents still think we met in a bar… until they read this (sorry Dave and Susie). After talking for a few days Tim decided he wanted to come meet me while I was studying in a Starbucks for my dental admission test. I remember the moment he walked in that Starbucks like it was yesterday, but I would never have thought that we would end up here. With me going off to dental school, I knew my schedule was going to be busy. I always thought to myself that we wouldn’t make it once I started school. Little did I know Tim was going to be right by my side every step of the way. I am thankful for this match and so incredibly lucky to have found my best friend.
Tim always told me that he didn't want to get married until he turned 30 and until I was done school. What perfect timing that my last day of residency was on his 30th birthday! We planned a trip to Islamorada to celebrate and I thought this was definitely going to be the trip when Tim would finally propose. It all just made too much sense!... I was very wrong. Tim planned a last minute trip at the end of April after other plans had fallen through. This would be his last time coming to Florida before helping me move home. He ultimately told me he wanted one last weekend to experience all our favorite things including Jupiter Inlet Beach, his favorite restaurants, and a tour of the Jupiter Lighthouse. The entire week leading up to his arrival, the forecast called for rain and clouds. When we woke up Saturday morning, the cloud coverage was heavy but slowly started to lift as we got closer to our scheduled tour of the Lighthouse. Tim popped the question at the top of the lighthouse overlooking all of our favorite spots without a cloud in the sky. I obviously said yes! It was the most perfect day and something I never expected Tim to plan (no offense Tim). The Jupiter Inlet and Lighthouse will forever be our ultimate happy place that we will continue to visit for years to come.
