FAQs

Question

What is the wedding day dress code?

Answer

Garden party semi-formal: Think vibrant colors, floral patterns, midi- or maxi-length dresses, and tailored suits with dress shoes. Taft Gardens is a nature preserve with grassy and rocky terrain. Sensible footwear is recommended (flats, kitten heels, block heels, sandals). The wedding will be entirely outdoors, dress accordingly, and bring a light jacket if needed.

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will be entirely outdoors. Please dress accordingly. Grassy and rocky terrain so choose shoes wisely! It will get chilly at night so make sure you bring a jacket or sweater.

Question

Is transportation provided between the hotel and venue?

Answer

Yes! We’ve arranged shuttles between the Capri Hotel and the venue so you can relax and enjoy the celebrations without worrying about the drive. The shuttles will pick up at the Capri Hotel at 2:45pm. You will not be able to drive into the venue or take an Uber so please plan to take the shuttle. Return shuttles will start at 8:30pm with the last shuttles at 10pm. If you'd like to leave earlier, just ask someone from the coordinator team and they should be able to accommodate.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We’d love to celebrate with everyone, but our venue has limited space. Invitations are addressed only to those we’re able to include, and you can see who’s invited by checking your RSVP on our website.

Question

Will there be an after party?

Answer

Yes, the shuttle will drop us off at The Hub downtown for after-hours debauchery. The Hub is a cash-only establishment. The Capri Hotel is within walking distance of The Hub.

Question

Are children allowed?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be an adults-only celebration.

Question

How do I get around?

Answer

The Capri Hotel is located on the eastern end of Ojai Ave, where the main strip of shops and restaurants is. It's a nice walk that we recommend exploring, but you can also drive. Ubers are hard to get in Ojai, so your best bet will be walking or driving yourself. We will be providing transportation to and from the wedding venue.
