Once upon a time, during the Game of Thrones Era of 2018, a sea of sweaty, tipsy college kids were scream-singing ABBA at a friend-of-a-friend’s house party. It wasn’t the most romantic setting, but it was where Stephanie and Gavin first met, seven years ago. We locked eyes from across the room, just like in the movies. Stephanie had to meet the handsome guy who looked just like Jon Snow, and Gavin couldn’t wait to talk to the most beautiful girl in the room. There was this magnetic pull between us, like we just had to know each other. And just like that, from that night on, we’ve been inseparable. To both our surprise, we found out we went to the same college, but had somehow never crossed paths. Gavin was a night student and Stephanie had classes during the day. Still, we bonded over art, movies, music, and everything in between. We liked all the same things... and maybe... we even liked each other? Our friendship meant the world to us, and neither of us wanted to risk messing it up. After hundreds of "friend dates," the timing was finally right. In 2021, we both confessed how we truly felt and we went on our first real date. When we made it official, all our friends got to say, “We told you so!” Two magical years of dating filled with love, laughter, and adventures led to moving in together in Santa Monica and adopting our beautiful baby cat, Deli. Then, on a warm sunny day in Santa Barbara, Gavin proposed to Stephanie... who had been too stubborn to take a walk on the beach. Through happy tears while unbuckling her seatbelt, Stephanie didn’t say “Yes”... she said, “Of course!” We’re so excited and overjoyed to be sharing our love with you, and we can’t wait to say “I do” in Malibu.
