Question
Are children invited to the wedding?
Answer
Although we love all the little ones in our lives, due to venue capacity limitations, wedding events will be for adults only. The only exceptions will be for the children of our family members. The Dreams Riviera Cancun Hotel & Spa Resort is a family-friendly property, and does offer child care services.
Question
What do I need to know about COVID for international travel?
Answer
The CDC and TSA have established rules for people traveling from and returning to the United States. Keep an eye out for updates to these requirements. As of January 2022, travelers are advised not to travel internationally without being up to date with COVID-19 vaccines (including booster shots). Airlines require testing prior to departing the United States on international flights, so please review your airline's requirements closely. After all the festivities and you are returning to the United States, travelers must have a negative COVID-19 test no more than 1 day prior to travel. Don't worry, the resort has free on-site antigen testing for guests!

What are the COVID-19 safety practices at the Dreams Riviera Cancun Resort?
Answer
The property takes COVID-19 precautions seriously. Guests are required to wear a mask while in common areas of the resort. Common areas are cleaned regularly throughout the day and hand sanitizer is available throughout the resort. In order to help keep guests healthy and to comply with the international travel requirements to re-enter the United States, the resort also provides free antigen COVID-19 testing on site.

Do I have to book through the travel agent and hotel block?
Answer
No, but we strongly recommend that you book your hotel accommodations through our travel agent and hotel block. Our travel agent, Andrea Coots, is an expert in booking international travel arrangements for destination weddings, and is extremely responsive and knowledgeable. By booking your hotel accommodations through her, you will also get access to free ground transportation to and from the resort and access to the DestinationWeddings.com 24/7 emergency hotline. If anything happens (missed flight, change of plans, etc.), you'll have help to manage changes to your travel accommodations. Guests should book their own air travel arrangements.

Is travel insurance really necessary?
Answer
Yes. Now that we've all lived through a global pandemic, we all have a greater perspective of what can happen. We strongly recommend insuring your airline and hotel travel, so you can get your money back if something were to happen. It's worth it!
