Our story begins in 2021 in the offices of Tessco Technologies in Timonium, MD. While neither of us ended up at Tessco forever, we came out of it with our forever! Being in sales, one of the things I dread most is getting pulled away from my work to do training, but what do you know, I first met Bri in a sales training. That fall, we were put on a project together and our friendship began. As you all know, I can be quiet and reserved, which is exactly what I was during this project - that I may or may not have wanted to be a part of 😊 Enter Bri, anything but quiet and reserved. Whether it's work or home life, Bri brings energy and a radiating smile that brings the best out in everyone. I think those traits are what initially built our friendship and brought me out of my shell, she somehow made this part of my job something to look forward to. To this day, the qualities that we saw in each other at work are many of the things we continue to admire about each other today and make our relationship so strong! Fast forward past a few Cava “lunch meetings” and Witt’s “strategy happy hours” we found ourselves spending a lot more time together outside of work. Whether it was Ravens tailgates, a St. Paddy’s Day bar crawl, long walks with Bri’s puppy (at the time) Brody, or just sharing a nice dinner together we really enjoyed getting to know each other. I know my brother, Derek (Best Man), jokes that Bri has changed me–but if you look at those activities, I would say maybe I changed Bri a little bit! For as much “talking” as we did or the amount of times I watched “her” dog, you would think I could have moved past just being Bri’s “friend”. Although deep down I knew this was a whole lot more than a friendship, it wasn’t until our first vacation together in July of 2022 in Wilmington, NC that Bri finally agreed to let me have the Boyfriend title, thanks for the assist Michelle (MOH). Don’t think I forgot about that long wait when it came time for us to take that next step into engagement 😉 After making our relationship official, everything seemed to move so fast. I successfully convinced Bri to buy Brody a house in the city, to be closer to me. Although I couldn’t get them into Fed Hill, Canton was a nice compromise and one that I am glad we made. In January 2024, I made the move I said I never would to the “grown up” side of Baltimore and moved in with Brody (& Bri) to our Canton home. Many of the activities that built our relationship have not changed. Brody loves his walks around Canton, we still overindulge at our local watering holes, we never say no to trying a new Baltimore restaurant, and Bri still has to deal with my Sunday evening depression anytime the Ravens blow a 4th quarter lead. This past November I finally popped the question and somehow still managed to surprise Bri. Thanks to our love for good food and wine -and maybe a little bit of bending the truth- I made her think our dinner in the private wine cellar at Tagliata, was just a regular Thursday night. We have shared so many memories together and knowing that this is only the beginning, brings me so much excitement for the life we have in front of us, together! The last four years have truly been the best years of my life and I know Bri feels the same. Having a partner you love, trust, admire, and care so deeply for makes everything that much better! There is nobody I would rather celebrate good times with but even more importantly there is nobody I would rather have in my corner for the hard times, which is what makes our relationship so successful, we are here for each other at every turn. We are so appreciative of our families and all of our friends that have impacted our relationship and we cannot wait to celebrate with you in February!
