We met in 2013 through a mutual family friend who was close to both of us from college. From the very first time we met, something felt different. There was an ease and a familiarity, like we had known each other far longer than we actually had. Over the years, we experienced life in so many ways through professional school, new jobs, career milestones, family, and all the transitions that shape who you become. Gold pursued occupational therapy while Carolyn went to law school, and through it all, our connection never faded. No matter what season we were in, we always found our way back to each other. It became clear that our story wasn’t just about timing, it was about purpose. God brought us back together in a way that felt intentional and undeniable. Through everything, we’ve been each other’s constant best friends, partners, and biggest supporters. And now, after more than a decade, we’re choosing forever with the person who has always felt like home.
