Dress code is formal attire. Pointy wide-brimmed hats optional. Here's a helpful resource for defining "formal attire": https://www.theknot.com/content/wedding-guest-attire-cheat-sheet
No, we don't think you'll need to. You can take ride share (or public transit if you're brave, perhaps the Logan Express Shuttle) from the Boston airport or train station to your hotel. Whenever you're in Salem, everything is within walking distance. We also do not recommend driving in or out of Salem in autumn. Too many zombies on the road, you know. If you're staying at the Salem Waterfront Hotel, you're staying in town, so you'll be able to walk to everywhere you'll need to be. For guests staying at the Sonesta Select, we will provide shuttle transportation to and from the wedding ceremony and reception. For the rest of the weekend, Salem is a great place to hang out, so find some friends (or make new ones) and ride share into town together!
Both recommended hotels have parking lots, so you can park there if that's where you're staying. Available parking spaces are not a given in Salem, Massachusetts, a place known for droves of skeletons marauding the spaces commonly used for parking cars. Don't plan to park in Salem unless you're staying at the Waterfront Hotel or you're well stocked on banishing spells.
Yes! Please see "Should I rent a car for the weekend?" above.
In the 'Travel' section of our website, we have hotels listed where we have reserved room blocks. We have a discount code for booking at Sonesta Select. Click the 'View' button under the hotel and scroll down on the webpage that opens. There should be an annotation on the room option showing that the discount code will apply.
Probably! We have reserved enough rooms for our estimated number of guests. There are also a number of hotels and Airbnbs in and around Salem, but it may be difficult to find any near the city in autumn. The witches tend to reserve rooms for summoned familiars (frogs/cats/bats) as soon as those rooms become available. Try finding someplace a short ride share away from Salem, ideally near the Sonesta Select Danvers so you can ride with folks staying there!
That’s totally ok! We have some less expensive items and a few group funds on our registry. Please give only as much as you're able. In Jewish tradition, it’s auspicious to give money in multiples of $18, which you are welcome to do for our group funds!
See the "Things To Do" and "Schedule" pages of this wedding website!
There will be a consumption bar, so basically, yes. TBD on magic potion availability.
We're glad you're excited to share photos of our very cool and gorgeous and well planned wedding! However, we ask that you please wait to share your photos until we share ours.
We are so excited for you to see historic Hamilton Hall, which is beautiful, and also has limited physical space. Unless your invitation specifically includes a plus one, we're just inviting your lovely self.
If you are traveling with one of the lucky few young folk we've invited, know that there will be a room in Hamilton Hall set aside for whoever needs to step away from the reception for whatever reason. Details will be provided day of.
Reach out to Daniel by email, text, or phone call. If your question becomes frequently asked, it will be added here!
