Question

What is the weather like in September?

Answer

While September tends to be one of the sunniest and warmest months for us, The Bay Area is known for having unpredictable weather. Bring sweaters and jackets for cool nights. September is also fire season so cross your fingers for us that we will have clear skies and bring an N95 mask just to be on the safe side! Our wedding will be both indoors and outdoors so bring appropriate clothing for both!

Question

What is the Wedding attire?

Answer

Cocktail attire! In other words, wear your classy wedding bests that you feel most comfortable and elegant in! The events on Friday and Sunday are casual attire.

Question

Is there parking? What about other forms of transportation to the venue?

Answer

Yes. There is metered street parking all around the venue. And, guests could leave their car overnight if needed. Additionally, Preservation Park is near Downtown Oakland close to the 12th street Bart station and is easily accessible by Uber or Lyft. We will be providing Uber codes to our guests. Information about that is on the Travel page.

Question

When Should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please let us know by July 15th! Thank you!

Question

Will events be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both! Friday's welcome event will be outdoors in a local park. Dress casually and in whatever is comfortable. The wedding ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors. Dinner and dancing will be inside. Sunday's goodbye brunch will be outside in Rachel's parent's backyard with access to both homes. Dress casually for this event as well!

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

HECK YES!! Get ready to enjoy yourself and dance the night away!

Question

What health and safety measures will be in place?

Answer

Given this will be a large gathering and some of our guests are immunocompromised, we are asking that everyone take a COVID test before the weekend of our wedding. Additionally, much of the wedding events are outside!

Question

When can I bring my kid/s?

Answer

We would love to see your kiddos so please bring them to the events on Friday and Sunday! The wedding on Saturday is for adults only. NB: Calvin will be at the wedding to witness his parents get married!

Question

Will there be food options for guests with dietary restrictions or allergies?

Answer

Yes! We will have vegetarian and gluten free options for appetizers and entrees at the wedding.
