FAQs

If you have any other questions other than what we’ve listed here, please reach out to our wedding planner, Sandy, at 555-555-5555.
Question

What is the best way to get to the Vineyard?

Answer

That depends on where you are coming from. The options are: drive to Woods Hole in Falmouth, MA and take the Steamship Authority Ferry, or fly directly to the Martha's Vineyard Hospital. You can also fly into Boston Logan Airport and take a bus or rent a car to drive to Woods hole but we recommend one of the first two options for time and convenience. See the FAQs below and "Travel" page for more specific details.

Question

What airport do I fly into?

Answer

Your final destination will be Martha's Vineyard Airport (MVY). Depending on where you're coming from there is a connecting flight to Boston Logan Airport or New York (Laguardia).

Question

What is the Steamship Authority?

Answer

The ferry most used for travel to the Vineyard is the Steamship Authority. You can take this ferry from Falmouth or Hyannis, MA. From Falmouth you can walk on or make a reservation to take your car, Hyannis is walk-on only. Car reservations can book months in advance and can be done online or over the phone on their website. If you plan to park your car on the mainland you will need to drive to either Palmer Lot, or Thomas Landers Lot and the shuttle bus will take you to the ferry. Make sure to check the ferry schedule first and park your car at least 30 minutes before the ferry is scheduled to leave so you'll have plenty of time to get there and get tickets. Walk on tickets can be purchased in the ticket office once you get off the bus and prior to boarding the boat.

Question

Are there other ferry options?

Answer

The only other ferry option is from New Jersey or New York City. See the "Travel" page for more information.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your kids—we really do! But due to COVID-19 restrictions we have had to reduce the guest list. Plus, we want our wedding to be your night off! Please only bring the little ones if their names are listed on the invitation.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to COVID-19 restrictions and needing to reduce our guest list, we are no longer able to include additional guests. If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Cocktail attire is preferred. All events will be outdoors and in a tent, so you may want to bring a light jacket or dress a little warmer since late October weather can be unpredictable! We will have heaters inside and outside the tent just in case.

Question

What's on the menu?

Answer

We will have chicken, beef or vegetarian options with some delicious sides, appetizers prior, and a sweet treat afterwards. Please select your preferred meal options when you RSVP.

Question

Will it be open bar or cash bar?

Answer

We will have an open bar with beer, wine, non-alcoholic beverages and a few specialty drinks.

Question

Is there parking at the venue? Can I leave my car overnight?

Answer

Yes, there is plenty of free parking at the wedding venue, with the option to leave it overnight in case you want to indulge in some cocktails! Feel free to leave your car at the venue and uber home, then return the following day to pick it up. We'd rather you be safe and have fun!

Question

Are the ceremony and reception in the same location?

Answer

Yes, all events on Saturday will be at 24 Leahs Lane, Edgartown, MA starting at 3:15pm.
