Gettin’ hitched!

"What's up nerd?"- a famous Eric Skinner greeting that I never knew would be the start of a once-in-a-lifetime love.. Eric and I first met in 2009 and became friends when we were 17. A friend of mine, also one of his best friends, came to visit me where I worked at Tin Drum. On a whim he decided to bring along this spicy ass redhead, and little did I know that he would be the most important person I would ever meet in my life. Our repartee was instant. Thank you Dylan! Fast forward through a few years of life, and our charisma weathered the gaps. Another best friend, Jake Williams (now our officiant), spurred the extra confidence for Eric to ask me out on our first date. (And he does get a kick claiming his credit for that success) Even though some time had passed, we were inevitably charmed with eachother and made it “offical” on April 29th, 2013. We went on to spend every single day together after that point, and we enjoyed the scenic route over the years while falling more in love after each one. We grew individually, as best friends, and also as significant others. We got to share the experience of learning how to navigate the beginning of our adult lives, all while making sure to never grow up. Eric proposed to me in our home on July 4th, 2020 (which was definitely the highlight of a traumatic year). After months filled with uncertainty, it was the easiest question for me to answer. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect, and we knew that our journey together was continuing just the way it was meant to be. We are beyond blessed to have countless loved ones who support us unconditionally and who have been there for us every step of the way. We’ve endured many ups and downs throughout our adventure so far, but I wouldn’t change a single second. We’re so excited not only to celebrate our past, present, and future, but to continue this ride surrounded by all of the people that we love and cherish the most.
