We met the modern, romantic way — we swiped right. (This Bumble was meant to bee 🐝.) Our first date? Bowling, arcade games, and a stop at Greg’s favorite fine dining establishment… Applebee’s. Before that night, Briana told her aunts, “This is the last date I’m going on for a long time. I need to focus on going back to work.” Little did she know it would be her last first date — because she had just found her person. That night, when her aunts texted to check in (you know, just in case the mystery man turned out to be a murderer), Briana responded, “I’m going to be a wifey.” From the moment they met, she knew: Greg was the one. Greg had just moved to a new town and, in preparation for the date, had to buy a pair of jeans that actually fit. He chose a nearby bowling alley as their meet-up spot. When he pulled into the lot, he saw Briana chugging an iced coffee (on a freezing night, no less), trying to finish it before they walked in. He laughed and gently said, “You don’t have to do that.” It may sound small, but that moment perfectly captures who we are as a couple. Briana — who had arrived an hour early and waited at a nearby Starbucks — didn’t want Greg to stand outside in the cold. And Greg, being his calm, kind, and patient self, instantly put her at ease. Every worry and anxious thought in Briana’s head disappeared the moment they met. From that day on, things just clicked. Being together felt natural — effortless. We quickly realized we didn’t want to spend another day apart. Our personalities are a true balance: Briana helps Greg come out of his shell, and Greg helps Briana stay grounded and breathe. Greg claims he let Briana win at bowling and basketball that night. Briana would like to go on record to say: her skills are just superior.
