We could easily spend 6 hours here happily and still not see everything the art institute has to offer!

We suggest the Chicago Architecture Center's river cruise to learn a little about the downtown area!
The Second City
If you have a free afternoon or night and want some laughs this is our recommendation! Make sure to get your tickets in advance!!
Lakefront Trail
For the best views of the city and the lake - we suggest walking along the lake front trail! There are pedestrian entrances available by search on Google or Apple Maps. Some places to start that have parking options are Diversey Harbor and Belmont Harbor.
Wilde Bar & Restaurant
Wilde has the best roasted Brussel sprouts appetizer and a cozy library-like bar feel! It is a great place for an afternoon snack or a comfy dinner.
North Pond
Looping around this pond is one of our common weeknight walks - it was recently redone and is often a place to spot some Chicago wildlife!
John's Food and Wine
The perfect slow-paced wine bar - no reservations taken, but no rush once you are there! Order the house wine and the fries with leek aioli to be happy forever!
Love Street
This is our favorite date night cocktail bar - conveniently right across the street from Avli! It is perfect to get a fun new cocktail before or after dinner!

The chicken salad on a croissant is the best! Also great for fancy coffees or little pastries.
Avli Taverna
Avli is one of our favorite date night spots - a fun twist on greek food with great sharable plates! We recommend setting a reservation if you plan to eat here.
Lincoln Park Zoo
The Chicago Lincoln Park zoo is free - making it a great activity for the kid inside of all of us. Seal feedings happen at 11:30 and 2:00 pm daily!

This is Leah's yoga studio - they offer one-time purchases for a class in case you need any relaxation or sweat while you are in town!
Batter & Berries
This is a favorite casual breakfast spot - it is extremely popular and there is always a line! Go early and be prepared to wait - the French toast is well worth it!
The Bagelers Coffeehouse
This is a good casual place for a delicious bagel smeared with cream cheese or built into a fun sandwich! They also offer coffee and tea options and close mid-afternoon.
