Our paths crossed at work when Joseph was assigned to train me. He spent the entire morning with me and even had lunch with me. After that, the rest is history.
Joseph and I bonded over his love of sports and my love of concession food. So our first date had to be at Safeco field with the Seattle Mariner's :)
One of our first dates was at the waterfront in Kirkland, WA. I always loved the gazebo there and would tell Joseph that it would be the perfect place for someone to propose or host an event, with the glistering water in the background and lush greenery. Fast forward 2 years, Joseph planned a day trip to the waterfront to have a picnic and enjoy the nice Seattle weather. Little did I know that he was going to propose. He had pre-ordered fortune cookies that had, "Will You Marry Me" inside and planned on giving it to me after our meal. However, he didn't plan for the waterfront to be so busy and there not be a location to setup lunch. So we went to plan B, he was able to find a small bench away from the crowd where he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Shortly after, he surprised me with my sister popping out of the bushes, which was the cherry on top!
We will exchange vows at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Kent, WA at 9 AM, followed by a reception at The Hall at Fauntleroy in Seattle, WA at 6 PM.
