In the summer of 2021, Brianna and Macoy met at Car Body Beach on the Columbia River. Brianna takes credit for making the first move, and Macoy claims he was too shy to say hi. They spent that summer together, full of boat days, late-night fires, game nights, and making memories with friends. Brianna had to move back to Spokane to finish earning her Doctorate of Physical Therapy, and Macoy was establishing his career. Even though life became busy, taking them to different places, they stayed in touch with each other over the years. Once Brianna graduated from PT school, she called Macoy to tell him she had moved back to the Tri-Cities, and he responded with, “That’s good news for me.” The summer of ’23, their love story grew into what it is today.
