To RSVP, click the 'RSVP' tab then type the First and Last name of one individual listed on your envelope. If your envelope reads "The (your last name) Family" - please use the last name to locate your RSVP then select the corresponding name that matches with your family. Kindly RSVP before July 23, 2025. If you are unable to attend, we would appreciate you letting us know at the soonest opportunity. Any RSVPs received after the date will be marked as 'no' as we will be sending a final head count to vendors shortly after this deadline - you will be missed!
Your presence will surely be missed! Please RSVP "Will NOT Attend" at your earliest convenience. If you have already RSVP'd attending, but find that you will not make it, please notify Samantha and Christopher via email: scmccords@gmail.com
We are unable to accommodate plus ones unless it is specifically indicated on your envelope. For example, your envelope would list "(your name) & (name of plus one)." For families, it will list "The (your last name) Family." When you go to RSVP, you will be able to see the exact number of people you can RSVP for.
Although we love your little ones, we regretfully cannot accommodate children. Since we are unable to invite your children, we appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and hope that you see this as an opportunity to let your hair down and enjoy the party with us!
Yes! The dress code is Formal Attire. Ladies can wear floor-length, tea-length, or midi formal dresses. We encourage fun colors, while avoiding hues of white, ivory, cream and pink as they are reserved for the bridal party! Gentlemen can wear a suit & tie. No jeans please!
The wedding party will be wearing various shades of pink, please refrain from this color scheme so our wedding party can have their statement moment! Thank you for your understanding!
No, we'd love for the bride to have her moment! And ask for you to refrain from wearing whites, ivories or creams that would fall under this color description.
The ceremony will take place outdoors, while the reception will be held indoors.
Yes! Both will take place at Oakdale.
Ceremony seating will be directed by our designated ushers. These individuals will lead you to your seat. A few of the front rows will be reserved for family, please indicate to the ushers if you are family of either the bride or groom so you will be brought to the appropriate seat! For the reception, we will be carefully arranging tables so our guests are sat with those they know.
We recommend guests arrive thirty minutes prior so there is time to mingle and find a seat. If you happen to be late, someone will be there to let you know if they are still allowing guests in or if you will need to wait until the ceremony is over. If that happens, you will still be able to attend cocktail hour and the reception, so hang tight, and we will see you at the reception! Thank you for understanding!
Yes, there is complimentary guest parking on location. This space will be marked for guests to easily locate. There will be individuals to direct or provide golf cart transportation from the parking area to the ceremony location.
Please refer to the 'Travel' tab which includes a few hotels where rooms have been set aside for our guests during the wedding weekend. You may also be interested in booking an Airbnb, if so, Ashland, VA is closest to our venue while Short Pump, Carytown, Willow Lawn, The Fan, The Museum District, and Scott's Addition would offer more lively stay locations!
We DO NOT want anyone drinking and driving. We recommend using rideshare apps (Uber, Lyft) for transportation if you plan on drinking! Just make sure you pickup your car from the venue the next morning, if you plan on leaving your vehicle overnight.
Our ceremony will be unplugged. For this, we ask all phones and cameras to be put away and there to be no pictures or videos taken! You are more than welcome to take photos and videos throughout the course of cocktail hour and the reception. This is such a special day for us, and we have the most amazing photography/videography team documenting our entire day, that way you are able to take it all in, celebrate and be in the moment with us!
Yes! We will have a full bar supplying unlimited drinks all night long. Drinks are on us! The hangover is on you! So get ready to celebrate!
