FAQs

Question

Are there any COVID-19 restrictions for the wedding?

Answer

As you know, the COVID-19 situation is constantly evolving. Things are heading in the right direction, but right now we are requesting that all guests provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test result 72 hours prior to the wedding (collection process TBD). We're hoping that things continue to head in the right direction and are monitoring the situation with both the venue and our wedding planner. Thank you for your support and understanding as we continue planning our wedding in the middle of a pandemic. Please contact us with any questions. We can't wait to (safely) celebrate with you!

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Kindly RSVP by July 10 so we can anticipate your presence!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 2:30, so please arrive no later than 2:15 PM.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Cocktail attire is requested.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

To allow all guests to enjoy themselves, we have chosen to make our special day adults only. We thank you for your understanding.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! Holy Spirit Catholic Church has a free parking lot for the ceremony. The Hilton Oceanfront will offer complimentary valet for any of our guests attending the wedding reception, and there is an attached city garage if you would like to self-park for a fee ($10). Hilton hotel guests will have the option to get a parking pass for the garage to be charged to their hotel stay.

Question

Are there cultural wedding traditions I should be aware of before the wedding?

Answer

We will be incorporating both Salvadoran and Filipino wedding traditions. During our ceremony, we will follow the traditional Catholic ceremonies of the cord, the veil, the coins, and the candles. You can find more information on those ceremonies here: https://www.revjerimurphy.com/veil-cord-coins-and-candles/ We will also be incorporating a Filipino money dance. You can find more information on that here: https://www.brides.com/money-dance-tradition-5074509
