It was move-in day at Queens College and Nicole was lugging in her packages from a recent Costco trip. This handsome man walks down the hallway and offers Nicole help, flustered and shy, she says "No, I'm good". Later that night, Nicole took a trip to the Convenience Store with her roommate to stock the fridge with $1 platinums and Brendan was fighting with the cashier over his Vermont license. Nicole finally worked up the courage to say "hey, do you live across the hall from me?" and with a little help from our friends, the rest was history.

It was summer 2020, the world was slowly re-opening after the COVID-19 shutdown. Brendan decided, "lets rent a house with all our closest friends in Vermont and get everyone together again". It would be the perfect way to get everyone together again. Little did everyone know what he had up his sleeve. Nicole, Brendan, & Mocha caravan up to Vermont from Long Island with some friends and check right into the house. Everyone splits up, and starts getting ready and showering. Brendan & Mocha disappear. Soon after, Nicole receives a distressed phone call to come outside urgently as "mocha is not acting herself". As Nicole stepped outside, hers and Brendans song was playing (You Make It Easy By Jason Aldean), and there was Brendan, ring in hand. And well, this was the start to their next chapter....
